I bought this for my 92 year old father in law, after he tried mine that I purchased 7 years ago. He raves about it every day, he says he falls asleep faster, sleeps longer without waking up. He says it’s so comfortable. He called me yesterday saying he can’t thank me enough for setting him up with the mattress. He’s really happy with it . Thank you!!

I love this mattress. I wake up rested and with energy. Before I was sleeping on a traditional mattress and I would wake up 3 to 4 times at night trying to find the right spot. I don’t weak up in middle of the night. It was worth every penny!!!

Buying The Right Sheets For You

Picking out new sheets can be daunting. These six steps will help determine what kind of sheet set is best for you.

Step 1: Time for an upgrade?

The rule of thumb is to replace your sheets every two to three years. However, if you’re sleeping poorly, then it’s time for a change.

Step 2: What material?

Sheets come in many different materials and finding the right one for you can transform your sleep experience. The most common materials for sheets are cotton, bamboo, tencel, polyester, silk, and linen.

Step 3: What’s your budget?

For queen size sheets, prices can vary anywhere between $50 and $300, depending on the style of sheets. In general, materials like linen and silk will be the most expensive. Cotton, bamboo, Tencel, or other similar materials can vary. Polyester and other synthetic fabrics will generally be the least expensive.

Step 4: What type of weave/knit?

Similar to materials, sheets come in all different types of weaves and knits, which can affect the quality and feel. The most common types for sheets are percale, sateen, satin, twill, jersey, and flannel.

Step 5: What type of fit?

Finding sheets that fit your bed is generally pretty easy, however it’s important to consider more than just your mattress size. Fitted sheets can vary in how deep the pockets are, since mattress heights are not standardized like length and width. We recommend the pockets be a few inches larger than the height of your bed — if your bed is 15 inches tall, look for 16 to 17 inch pockets.

Benefits of Buying Online

Greater Selection

There is a wider range of companies to choose from online, so there are great sheet options for nearly every sleeper.

No Sales Teams or Middlemen

You can find the perfect sleep accessories for you without the hassle of aggressive sales teams. Plus, with no middlemen, the lower price gets passed to you.

Risk-Free Trials with Money-Back Guarantees

Most companies offer generous trial periods, usually 100 nights or longer, with a 100% money-back guarantee if you don’t love your new sheets. So instead of standing in a store looking at sheets all day, you get to try your sheets out in your own home and actually sleep on it.

FAQs

What thread count is best?

When you’re working with high-quality materials like long or extra-long staple cotton, a good thread count ranges from 250-800. That said, you might want to avoid bedding with a thread count of 1,000 or higher, as that often means it was woven from weaker, low quality fibers.

What is the best time to buy sheets?

Many bedding brands launch huge sales around federal holidays, so keep an eye out for deals around President’s Day, Memorial Day, and even Labor Day! You’ll also naturally find a ton of deals around Black Friday. Check out our sleep coupons and promo codes page year-round to stay up to date on the latest discounts.

Are bamboo sheets better than cotton?

It comes down to personal preference. Many sleepers find bamboo-based bedding is cooler, more breathable, and better at wicking moisture than cotton. Cotton is still breathable though, and it’s among the most popular types of bedding because of its soft feel and various weave styles.

What are the best sheets for hot weather?

Sheets made from bamboo, linen, Tencel, or cotton percale are great for hot weather because they’re breathable, moisture-wicking, and lightweight.

How often should I wash my sheets?

Washing your sheets once a week is ideal. However, if you absolutely can NOT wash them once a week, there are some things you can do to cut down on the amount of bacterial buildup in your sheets.

Firstly, don’t allow your pets in bed (no matter how tempting it may be), as the dander from their fur only adds to the allergens. Similarly, don’t eat food in bed as stray crumbs can attract bugs and/or increase the risk of spills. And lastly, if you shower every night before crawling into bed, you can probably get away with washing your sheets every other week.

How often should you replace your bed sheets?

In general, you should replace your bed sheets every 2-3 years. But keep in mind that sheet durability depends upon specific materials and the quality of the fabric itself.

For example, linen sheets are incredibly durable, and have a reputation for getting softer and cozier as time goes on. In fact, some linen bedding can take you through decades of use. When it comes to cotton sheets, extra-long staple cotton tends to be more durable, and can often last up to 5 years. But in general, the average cotton or polyester sheet set will begin to pill or break down after 3 years.
